A point gained or a point lost?

A late goal from Hugh McNulty with 5 minutes remaining and Creggan should have held out for the victory against a St Bridgids side inspired by the ever so dangerous Joe Brolly. Brolly contributed 1-06 to their final tally of 1-10. It took an excellent late point from the boot of Hugh McKay to ensure we shared the points.

After the Joe Brolly show early in the first half in which he scored 1-03 Ceggan started to settle down and play some nice football. Scores from Sam Maguire, Hugh McNulty, Ciaran McCartney and Odhran McLarnon (2), left three points in the game at the break.
Half Time: St. Brigids 1-05, Kickhams 0-05

The second half was very entertaining with both sides exchanging scores, 3 from Joe Brolly (all frees) and our scores coming from the boots of Ciaran McCartney, Hugh McNulty, Thomas McCann (2).
Then came a goal from Hugh McNulty which was fully deserved and only for our slow start it would have put us more in front. This goal put Creggan one point in front with 5 minutes remaining. Two quick scores from St. Bridgids put them back in the driving seat for the victory though, but thankfully big Hugh McKay stepped up to score an excellent point from range in injury time to salvage a draw.
