U14 County Feile Hurling Skills

Thursday, May 13, 2010

As a curtain raiser to the U14 County Feile Hurling Finals on Saturday, the Feile Hurling Skills competition took place at Con Magees GAC.

Representing Kickhams were Conor Small and James Carey who had both put up brilliant performances in the South West Skills Final to qualify for the County Final.

There they faced Ryan McCollum (Shamrocks, Loughgiel ) and Cormac McClafferty (Ruairi Og, Cushendall).
At the end of an extremely close contest, during which each competitor completed the six Feile skills, James was the winner.
James now goes on to represent Antrim in the National Feile Skills competition to be held in Ennis, Co. Clare in June.

Well done to both Conor and James in reaching the Feile Skills County Final. Having two players from Kickhams in the County Final is a fantastic achievement and both boys are to be congratulated.
