Creggan Minor Footballers captured the 2010 Laverty Cup with a comprehensive 3-19 to 1-08 victory over Dunloy in the final held in Ahoghill last Tuesday night. 

Dunloy started brightly with the opening score but 3 goals in the opening 10 minutes meant that Creggan were always in the driving seat.  One feature of the game was the standard of point scoring from play and from frees in spite of the strong cross field breeze.

Creggan have dominated this competition in recent times having captured the trophy for the past 4 years running. Credit must go to the management team for churning out successful sides each year, and they will be keen to retain the cup in 2011. That finishes the minor football season for another year and it’s always good to end it with another shiny boy in the pocket!
