St Benedict's go to Dorohoi, Romania

Wednesday, July 11, 2012
Sean McAuley is just back from Romania and would like to thank the club and community for their support with school bringing aid out to the poor families in Dorohoi, Romania. Three staff and nine pupils travelled. They raised over £10,000 which is a magnificent sum for the economic times we are in. The money will be used in three ways, 1) They bought lots of food while there making up food parcels, visiting 25 families during the week and organising a weeks fun for the children, 2) They sponsored 14 families £5 or £10 pounds per week for a year and 3) They payed for 2,200 meals which the centre provide so families can get at least one good meal per week.

Sean Would Like to thank the club for jerseys and clothes provided.

Well down to the pupils and teachers of St Benedict's College and also the community for their generosity!
