Bryansford Ease Into Final

Emerald Sarsfields had Ciaran Courtney's fortuitous goal to thank for being level at half time in the first semi final in Creggan. The centre half forward fired to the net after Phillip Donnelly’s shot was spilled by Bryansford keeper Ryan Brannigan.
Danny Savage gave the Sarsfields defence plenty of problems and opened the scoring inside a minute after a spectacular catch and score. The Down panellist has helped himself to four first-half points including a free and a forty five and produced the best from Sarsfields keeper
Berat Turker in the twenty forth minute, forcing the goalie into a superb reaction save from a goal bound effort.
Emerald Sarsfields came flying out of the blocks in the second half with Michael Geehan pointing twice inside the first five minutes of the half. However, Bryansford soon got to grips with the Monaghan men and Danny Savage pulled another fine save from Berat Turker, who tipped over to give the Down champions their first point of the half.
David McKibbin followed this up with another score before Savage added a free to put the 'Ford in front, a lead they never lost. They had extended their lead to seven by the fifty-eighth minute with four points from Savage, two from substitute Chris Clarke and a fine effort
from corner back Marc Harbinson before a late rally from the Monaghan men put a more respectable look on the final score.
Goalkeeper Ryan Brannigan was bundled into the net after catching a pointed effort from Pauric Graham and Graham pointed a free to leave three in it after a cynical foul from McKibbin, which earned him his second yellow. These turned out to be consolation scores
only as the Down champions held on to book a spot in the final.
