Creggan minor footballers win on their second game of the season on Tuesday night against local rivals Tir Na Nog.

The game started at a very fast pace, with both teams exchanging points early on.
The Whitehill lads then got the better of the first half, for a solid 10 minutes of football, racing into a five point lead mid way throught the first half showing some fine football on the way.
However 10 minutes before half time the Cregggan lads began to play some attractive football of their own, one move in particular ending in a superb goal by Donal Carey. The Lads also scored some fine points to end the Half all square 1-07 to 1-07.

In the second half with Tom Johnsten providing great support to his defence and some fine kickouts, the Creggan lads began to take some fine scores and quickly moved into a five point lead of their own. The full back line of Jake McAteer, Dermot Carey and Michael Carey-Small were very determined in the tackle and nothing got past them.

In the half back line Matthew Rodgers, John McAuley and Ciaran McAteer were all in fine form defending and attacking simultaneously. The midfield pair of Niall McAuley and Donal Carey were in great form and dominaant in periods. The half forward line of Malachy McIvor, Conor Small and Ciaran Rice played extremely well against a very strong Whitehill half back line . Up front Dominic Mulholland with his first start of the season put in a great shift, Liam Quinn and Kevin Small provided a good target for some fine balls in from the rest of the team.

Only a few subs where made on the night with Kealan McCann coming on for Liam Quinn, Tirnan McAteer came on for Malchay McIvor and Cormac Rice for Dominic Mulholland.
