Minor Footballers make it three in a row

Creggan minor footballers made it three wins from three on Tuesday night in a home victory against a very under strengthened Lamh Dhearg. Indeed its a credit to Lamh Dhearg because they only had 15 players due to injury and illness.

The game started very bright for Lamh Dhearg and they went 2 points up though Creggan then replied with a very early goal. Both teams exchanged scores as the first half went on and at one stage it was level at 7 all. Creggan then went 6 points up with 2 goals in 2 minutes and that seemed to set the pattern for the rest of the match.

The team looked to have a real hunger about them and they rattled in a few more goals before the end of the match.

At the back Tom Johnston was at his commanding best and great kick outs were the order of the day. All 6 backs performed brilliantly with John McAuley, Jake Mc Ateer and Michael Carey-Small on the full back line.
The half backs were Ciaran Rice, Matthew Rodgers and Ciaran McAteer.
The midfield on the night was Donal Carey and Niall McAuley and both of whom worked hard.
The half forward line of Cormac Rice, Conor Small and Dermot Carey worked tirelessly.
The forward line of Ronan Burke, Kevin Small and Malachy McIvor took some excellent scores.
Subs available on that night were Dominic Mulholland, Liam Mc Cann, Jamie Mc Cann, Aidan McAuley and Kealin McCann all of whom got a run out and preformed very well.

Truly it was hard to judge how well the lads done against their injury ravaged opponents, however the boys took some great scores. No doubt they well face a much sterner challenge on Tuesday night when the St Johns lads come to Creggan.

It's now 6 points from 6 and the boys have dome great so far!!!
